Description
This taper hand tap is manufactured from super high-speed steel (SHSS), designed for manual or powered threading of holes. It features a ground thread with H3 tolerance limits, ensuring precise threading with a standard “class of fit” suitable for general applications. The tap has a chamfer length of 7 to 10 threads to facilitate easier starting. It is right-hand threaded and intended for cutting or repairing 5/16″-18 National Coarse (NC) threads. Suitable for use in through or blind holes, this tap is widely used in industrial, automotive, and maintenance contexts.
