Thread-Sert is a steel low-profile insert with #5/16-18 UNC-2B threads. Crafted from low-carbon steel and finished with a clear zinc trivalent chromate coating, it features a splined round body and open end to give excellent torque-out resistance with minimal protrusion. This insert works in thin base materials starting at just .030 inches, making it ideal for enclosures, panels, brackets, or anywhere a strong thread is needed with a low profile.
