Loctite 2096059 is Loctite 518—an anaerobic, primerless, red flange sealant formulated for rigid metal flanges (aluminum, iron, steel). It fills surface irregularities and gaps up to 0.25 mm (0.01 in), forms an instant low-pressure seal, and cures to a semi-flexible, chemical-resistant gel in the absence of air between close-fitting metal faces. 518 is surface-contamination tolerant, cures on inactive metals without primer, and operates from −65 °F to 300 °F (−55 °C to 150 °C), making it a dependable form-in-place gasket for gearboxes, pumps, and engine casings.
